Myopia Management

Myopia management can help slow down the progression of myopia.

What is myopia?

Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, is a condition where the eye grows too long, causing light to focus in front of the retina instead of at the retina. This results in blurred distance vision.

Myopia is typically diagnosed in school-aged children and it continues to progress into the late teens.

Why treat myopia?

It is important to treat myopia as early as possible because myopia can significantly increase your child's risk of developing ocular diseases later in life, such as:

  • cataracts
  • glaucoma
